Click to book a night in Savoia & Jolanda
When to go: Spring, summer and early autumn are the best. From October to December there is a chance the city gets flooded. In February you are welcome to the Venetian carnival.
What`s special: A breath taking view, elegant rooms in Venetian style and Italian food at the restaurant on a promenade. Rooms are available from basic to luxury apartments, but every one offers a view over the town or the lagoon. It is only a few minutes by foot from your four stars deluxe hotel to all the famous places.
Where to enjoy food: Breakfast is included in the room rate, but you can enjoy the Italian food in the hotel restaurant anytime during the day. In Venice you can find a lot of excellent restaurants with great views.
Where is it: Venice has its own international airport – Venice Marco Polo Airport. The Treviso-Sant’Angelo Airport is close too.
Why go there: Discover this magical place without cars! Wander the streets, feed pigeons on St. Mark`s Square, try the romantic atmosphere on a gondola trip and the Italian food in one of the most romantic places in the world. If you want to avoid crowds, a journey to the island San Giorgio Maggiore is the best. You will enjoy a view of the major attractions of Venice.
If you want to refresh your body and mind, the beach of Lido is waiting for you. You can get there easily – by a vaporetto (water bus). Thomas Mann found inspiration for his novel Death in Venice in Lido, will you find it too?
If you will ever get tired of Venice, you can escape for the historic town of Verona, relax under the trees on the Lago di Garda, enjoy shopping in the modern Milan or take a rest in a large garden of the coastal castle Miramare.
How much is enough: Venice is a touristic heaven, so you must be prepared for higher prices than in the rest of Italy. The hotel offers various types of rooms – from the Standard to the Junior Deluxe. Prices start at 140 €/night/Standard room for two.
When I want something different: If you are not too rich, try the 3-stars Hotel Tiziano that is set in a historical building from the 15. century in a calm part of Venice near Academia. On sunny days, a breakfast on the summer terrace is a perfect begging of a day.
If you are looking for a luxury accommodation, you will find it easily in Venice. The best are the 4-stars Hotel Moresco with design rooms and a garden, the 4-stars Pallazzeto Madonna with an amazing terrace and rooms or the Hotel Ai Reali from the Small Luxury Hotels of the World chain. The later is one of the few in Venice to offer a spa.
